Computer Software Engineering Transfer Intent
This Program Map is Part of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Pathway
This Program Map is for students who plan to earn an AA degree at Polk State College and transfer to
Florida Gulf Coast University and earn a bachelor’s degree in Computer Software Engineering. This
Program Map is intended to serve as a guide, and students should always meet with their Student
Success Advisor to develop a personalized Educational Plan.

A Few Notes:
1. Students must meet all graduation requirements, including demonstrating proficiency in a foreign

2. Students must earn an appropriate score on a placement examination or complete MAT 1033 in
order to enroll in MAC 1105.
3. Students must earn a grade of A or B in MAC 1105 to enroll in MAC 1147. Students may also take
MAC 1114 and MAC 1140 instead of MAC 1147.
4. The AA degree requires the completion of 60 credit hours, including 36 credit hours of General
