INDIA PACKING LIST for CHILDREN
CLOTHING:
Bring clothing in several sizes
(wait to purchase after getting
updated measurements for your
child before travel)
10 outfits (lightweight and
breathable pants/shirts/dresses)
Bathing Suit
Ten pairs of underwear
Diapers and/or Pull ups
Three to four pairs of pajamas
Sweater or jacket for airplane
Shoes (if we can get the size)
These can easily be purchased in
country.
Four pair of socks
Bibs
Bonnet or hat for the sun
(bring a couple of different sizes)
Temperature in the hotel rooms can be cool, so pack a couple of pair of
warmer pajamas for children. Diapers and pull ups can be purchased in India,
but they are not as good as the ones we have here at home. If a child is already
potty- trained, they may regress back to diapers for a short period of time. We
recommend bringing Pull ups for children ages 3-5, for the same reason.
FOOD ITEMS:
Bring a lot of snack foods
appropriate for your child’s age.
LOTS of Cheerios,
Puffs, Crackers, Goldfish, Ritz
Bits, Teddy Grahams, Cheese
Crackers, GoGo Squeeze
(squeezable fruit and/or vegetable
pouches)
Grits and Oatmeal in individual
packages

Fruit Cups
AVOID giving anything to
children containing peanuts or
peanut butter in case of allergy.
Most of the children up to age 2 have never eaten crunchy foods, such as cheerios,
