Rise of the Saiyans

FADE IN:
(1) EXT - SPACE
A ship floats through space; in the distance is a Red planet.
There is an explosion on the surface as a giant mushroom
cloud engulfs the planet that then starts to crack up. It
explodes sending shock waves out into space. The ship floats
gently past where the planet once was untouched.
(2) INT – SHIP
The walls of the ship are a collection of computer screens and
wires that are surrounded by the dull monotone of the ships
metal interior. Artificial light floods through the corridors.
We move to two guards that are on the move. They are
dressed in armour.
Move to CLOSE UP of guards.
GUARD 1
Please let me tell him, I can’t wait to see
his face.
GUARD 2
By all means, that kid gives me the creeps.
If you want to give the news to him I won’t
stop you.
The guards stop outside a room. Guard two puts his hand to a
panel that opens the door and moves to...
(3) INT – SHIP ROOM
The room is mainly empty except for a bed and bathroom. It
resembles a prison cell. Inside is a boy sitting against the wall
on the floor staring out a window into space.

GUARD 1
Prince Vegeta we have some bad news for
you. It seems that an asteroid hit planet
Vegeta, there were no survivors.
The boy continues to look into space showing no interest in
the guards.
GUARD 2
Your father was on a mission at the time.
After being told of the tragedy he took his
own life.
Guard 2 reaches into his pocket and takes out an amulet. He
throws it onto the floor in front of Vegeta, to scared to get
close to him.
GUARD 1
It is believed that you are the last
remaining Saiyan. Strong enough to
conquer worlds, too weak to stop a flying
rock, but I suppose what else could you
expect from a bunch of monkeys?
Guard 1 nudges Guard 2.
GUARD 1
But hey you could have tried throwing turds
at it.
The Guard laughs at his own joke.
The amulet on the ground explodes. The guards shield their
eyes. Vegeta has vanished from his spot on the floor and
reappears in front of Guard 1 with his hand at his chest.
VEGETA
What’s wrong? You seem to be sweating.
Surely you’re not afraid of a monkey?

The guard doesn’t move fearful that he will lose his life.
Guard 2
Vegeta, stop this now. Frieza won’t be
impressed if you kill one of his guards.
Vegeta puts his hand down. Guard one gains his courage back
in seeing Vegeta listen to the other guard.
GUARD 1
I hope you enjoy feeling powerless, you
don’t have anyone to hide behind anymore.
Vegeta grabs the arm of Guard 1 and breaks it. The bone cuts
the skin spilling blood on the floor and splatters onto the side
of Vegeta’s face. The guard grabs his arm and starts
screaming.
GUARD !
YOU BASTARD!
VEGETA
Don’t worry. One day I will have more
power than even your precious Frieza
then we will see who’s ass you want to worship.
The guard becomes still again, fearful. This time Vegeta
doesn’t stop, hitting the guard in the head breaking his neck.
Guard 2 hits an alarm switch on the wall. Lights start flashing
as the alarm goes off. An army of guards now stand at the
door with their guns pointed at Vegeta.
Vegeta smiles. The flashing lights bounce off of his face
revealing the blood smeared across his face. He looks scary.

Move to camera follow an explosion move through the crowd
of guards out of the ship and into space.
(4) INT – SHIP CAPSULE – INT
A pair of eyes open. We move out revealing an adult Vegeta
laying down in his space pod.
We move out more to reveal the pod flying through space as it
passes through the Milky way galaxy. Jupiter can be seen in
the background.
BEGIN TITLES OVER
(5) EXT – MOUNTAINS – DAY
Nothing but snow capped mountains can be seen for miles.
We push in to reveal Goku floating naked under a waterfall. He
has his legs crossed and his eyes closed. The water is cold, the
surroundings are covered in snow and ice.
Zooming in we see the concentration on Goku’s face. At first
glance it seems that he is frozen but his eyes suddenly open.
A fish around the same size as him falls into his arms. It
doesn’t stop squirming. Goku punches it in the face and it
stops moving.
(6) EXT - MOUNTAINS – NIGHT
Goku is sitting on the ground wearing his orange gi. There is a
fire burning in front of him with the bones of a fish scattered
on the ground.
Move to close up of a dragonball sitting on the ground. It is
dirty. A hand reaches down and picks it up and brings it to his
face. Goku wipes the ball on his shirt, the dirt disappears and
the ball starts to shine.

GOKU
Grandpa...
Goku pauses and swallows.
GOKU
Grandpa, I’m still hungry.
Move to a MEDIUM SHOT of a wolf coming out of the forest. It
snarls revealing its rows of sharp teeth. It starts backing up
sensing danger.
Goku, still holding the dragonball smiles.
(7) EXT – MOUNTAINS – DAY
The camera moves across revealing two pairs of skeletons, one
belonging to a fish and one to a wolf. They sit in an abandoned
camp site. Goku is standing behind the campsite on the edge
of a cliff. The waterfall is in front of him and a breathtaking
drop with a beautiful landscape below.
The wind blows making the GI that Goku is wearing flutter.
The camera moves across the symbol on his back. The edge
that Goku is standing on breaks off as he takes to the air. He
moves so fast that all is seen is a blast of light from where he
took off to the trail left behind as he vanishes over the
horizon.
END TITLES:
(8) EXT – MOUNT PAUZU - DAY
A small building stands next to the rebuilt house of Grandpa
Gohan. The house looks like it could fall down at any minute.
The surroundings are calm and misty.

(9) EXT – GOKU’S HOUSE – DAY
Move to Goku carrying bundles of firewood. The wood is too
long and heavy for any normal person to lift, Goku does it with
ease dropping the wood in a pile in front of the house.
(10) INT - SHRINE – DAY
Goku is kneeling in front of an alter. On it is the four star
dragonball and a picture of his grandpa. All is silent till the
sound of a car’s engine fills the air. Goku stands and exits the
shrine.
(11) EXT- GOKU’s HOUSE - DAY
Chi Chi steps out of a sporty looking car. She smiles when she
see’s Goku.
CHI CHI
Hi, I thought I would come up and
see how you are going.
Chi Chi looks at the house. She looks worried.
CHI CHI
Um, is it safe to stay here? I don’t
want to say anything bad about your
building skills, but it looks like it is
going to fall down at any minute.
Goku follows Chi Chi’s stare to the house.
GOKU
O, its safe trust me.
We see the whole house. It leans to one side and there are
holes in the roof. Big chunks of wood are nailed randomly to
the walls keeping it together.

One of the wooden pieces falls down.
CHI CHI
Are you sure, how do you know?
GOKU
Because it has already fallen on me
three times and I’m still alive.
CHI CHI
It’s fallen on you three times?
Goku nods his head.
GOKU
Yes, it always seems to happen when
I am working out. I might need to train
outside more.
Chi Chi shakes her head. There is a smile on her face. The
couple start walking towards the house. They enter and as the
door shuts behind them we see another wooden piece fall
down. Loud creaking noises can be heard.
(12) INT- GOKU’S HOUSE - DAY
Broken pieces of furniture are scattered around the house.
Beams are erected holding the roof up. Chi Chi and Goku are
sitting in the kitchen around a table that has been nailed back
together.
CHI CHI
Why do you always train? You should
take time out to do other stuff.

GOKU
But I love fighting.
CHI CHI
So do I but there are other things to do
besides fight all the time.
GOKU
There is, like what?
CHI CHI
Haven’t you ever wanted to do something
else? Go to a movie, read a book...fall in love.
Goku blushes.
GOKU
Maybe, though books don’t really interest me.
CHI CHI
You need to do other things Goku, you don’t
want to travel through life and not even notice
the beauty of the full moon.
GOKU
The moon is Beautiful?
CHI CHI

I swear Goku you need more of a life then
fighting and training.
GOKU
But I like to train. Besides you never
know when Piccolo will return. He may
be stronger, I need to be ready if he is.
But don’t worry I am going to see master
Roshi soon.
CHI CHI
Say hi to him for me. I’m surprised that
you aren’t training with him.
GOKU
Well he says that there is nothing else that
he can teach me, the best thing for me to do
is train to become stronger, besides he is
taking on students again. And since I can’t pay
him at least this way he won’t starve to death
while trying to feed me, at least that is what he
says.
CHI CHI
Wow, maybe I should go get lessons.
How many students does he have?
GOKU
He won’t teach more than one student
at a time sorry. His current student is a
promising monk. We have met a few times,
though I’m not sure he likes me very much.
CHI CHI
Wait, how does a monk afford to pay him?
GOKU

Well I bet you didn’t know, but apparently
Master Roshi likes to read and Krillin , the monk
he is training has some rare books that Roshi
seems to love.
Chi Chi notices a large wooden block erected in the middle of
the room next to them.
CHI CHI
Is that where you train?
GOKU
Yes. I try and damage the block of wood
by throwing punches from this room. I try and
focus the force behind them into destroying it.
Goku stands up and puts his hands at his side ready to punch.
GOKU
Like this I’ll show you.
Chi Chi puts her hand out to stop him.
CHI CHI
Goku no!
It is too late. Goku throws a punch. The force behind it causes
the house to fall down. A voice emerges from under the
rubble.
GOKU
Sorry.

(13) EXT – FARM – DUSK
The sun is setting over a farm surrounded by mountains.
Camera moves to the barn next to the farmhouse. The lights
are on and there is muffled noise coming from inside.
(14) INT – BARN – NIGHT
Inside the barn people are yelling and cheering. In the middle
is a small ring. Two cocks are fighting each other. Blood is spilt
often as they connect with their claws and beaks that are
covered in tiny weapons like wire and barbs. The crowd cheers
with every blow.
One of the roosters falls to the ground. The crowd cheers
more. A man walks to the centre of the ring and picks up the
dead bird throwing it in a cage.
The other bird is caught and put into a separate cage. A man in
a flannelette shirt is standing at the side of the ring. He is
holding a pile of money. Another man comes up to him and
collects some of the money.
MAN
Good business tonight hey?
MAN FLANNELETTE
Hell yea. Gotta love the tough times.
Out of nowhere a sonic boom is heard and the barn shakes.
People fall to the ground and there is screaming. It all ends
with a loud crash from outside.
MAN FLANNELETTE
What the hell was that?
(15) EXT – FARM – NIGHT

There is a large crater in the ground not far from the barn.
People come outside to see what happened, some are carrying
guns. The man in a flannelette shirt walks up to the crater.
MAN FLANNELETTE
Who’s there?
The man has his gun ready. He loads a round.
MAN FLANNELETTE
Come out now you piece of shit or I
will kill you.
A hissing sound comes from the crater and footsteps are
heard. Slowly a wild looking man wearing armour emerges. He
has a device strapped to the side of his head, Radits.
A laugh emerges from the crowd.
MAN FLANNELETTE
Sorry mister, the Mardi Gra was last week,
but if you go into town and talk to a guy named
Ben Dover, I am sure he will help you out.
The crowd burst out laughing. Radits ignores the people and
puts his hand to his head touching the device.
Camera Moves to his point of view looking out the device. It
beeps a lot while throwing up a bunch of data for Radits to
see, he frowns.
RADITS
Weak...
MAN FLANNELETTE

What did you say?
The man raises the gun facing it at Radits. Radits smiles.
Radits
Weak...
MAN FLANNELETTE
That’s it I have had enough of your bullshit.
The man lets out a shot. Radits stands his ground and catches
the bullet. He opens his hand to reveal it. He moves the bullet
into his fingers.
RADITS
Like I said weak...
Radits flicks the bullet back at the man. He puts the gun up to
protect himself but the bullet goes straight threw it and into
the man’s head. He falls to the ground, the people behind
stare in shock for a few seconds before they run to their cars.
They start driving off but don’t get far.
Radits raises his hand lifting several cars up with an invisible
force. He throws them against each other and into nearby
trees. There are no survivors. He smiles again.
RADITS
You are all, weak.
A sonic boom fills the sky. Radits looks up. A light flashes
across the sky with lightning speed. Another sonic boom is
heard soon after followed by another light in the sky.

Camera shot from behind Radits looking up. A ball of light falls
to the ground on either side of him.
(16) EXT – KAME HOUSE – DAY
Goku is walking towards Roshi who is waiting outside his
house.
ROSHI
Goku, how have you been? Did you
find the four star dragonball?
Roshi puts his arm around Goku and leads him inside.
(17) INT – KAME HOUSE – DAY
Roshi leads Goku into the living erea. The house is pretty
messy and cluttered. Magazines and junk litter the room.
GOKU
Yes, thanks to Bulma we were able to
find it along with the five and seven star
ball. She took the other two back to her
lab to continue her research on them.
Inside the house is a bald man watching aerobics on television,
Krillin. He turns it off when he see’s Roshi and Goku enter the
room.
KRILLIN
Hi Goku, how are you?
GOKU
I’m great, how are you? Ready to spar

again?
Goku punches Krillin in the arm in an attempt to convince him.
Krillin grabs his arm; the punch was more painful than Goku
meant it to be.
KRILLIN
I think I’ll pass.
Goku makes his way straight to the kitchen.
(18) INT – KAME HOUSE KITCHEN - DAY
Goku is surprised to find what he thinks is a fullum sitting at
the table. He sends a Ki blast towards it. The table is
destroyed. The hideous creature moves out the way avoiding
the blast.
Master Roshi and krillin come into the room to see what
happened.
GOKU
Stand back, there is a fullum in
here.
KRILLIN
What’s a fullum?
ROSHI
Goku that is not a fullum, that is
Baba, my sister.
Goku looks shocked, but relaxes his body.

GOKU
What? How do you have a sister?
BABA
I am in fact Roshi’s older sister and
just like him I too am immortal.
GOKU
Ooooohh, I see that explains it. I am
sorry for trying to kill you but I thought
you were a monster.
Baba frowns. Goku ignores the mess and opens the fridge
taking out a large piece of ham that he bites into. Baba stares
at him unimpressed.
OS A knock is heard coming from the front door.
(19) INT – KAME HOUSE LIVING ROOM - DAY
Roshi opens the door Bulma is waiting outside. She has her
arms crossed and looks anxious.
(20) EXT- TOWN – DAY
Rubble and debris is everywhere among the town. Several
houses have been crushed. People are running around hectic
trying to rescue survivors. Bodies cover the street. A crater is
in the middle of the mess. Several people approach it. They
examine the space pod. They jump back when the front starts
hissing and slowly opens.
A hand emerges from the pod and pulls itself up revealing a
strong looking man, Vegeta.
The people start to murmur. Vegeta steps out of the pod. He
puts his hand to his scouter and the door closes.
A man approaches him from the crowd of people.

MAN
Who are you?
Vegeta ignores the people and takes off to the sky.
(21) EXT – RIVER – DAY
A river is flowing. Two feet stand in it. Camera moves up to
reveal Piccolo. He puts his arms out and blocks the rivers flow.
The water builds up against an invisible dam. He then raises
his hands, the water also raises out of the river. Piccolo then
clenches his fist separating the water into individual drops.
Holding the water droplets in place with one hand he uses the
other to crush a rock. He lifts one small black piece of rock
from the rubble and sends it into the water. Twirling the water
around with the piece of rock he makes sure that it is well
hidden within the droplets. With the water droplets still
swirling he closes his eyes.
Camera moves to Piccolo’s finger. A small blast leaves it. The
camera follows the blast as it travels through the water
droplets avoiding everything until it reaches the tiny black rock
in the middle destroying it.
Piccolo opens his eyes and drops the water back into the river.
RADITS O.S.
Very impressive.
Piccolo turns his head. Behind him on the bank of the river is
Radits.
PICCOLO
Hmf, you’re a Saiyan and an ugly
one at that.

Radits laughs.
RADITS
Very good green man. I’m guessing
that since you know what I am you must
be a Namekian. Yes green, pointy ears,
definably a Namek.
PICCOLO
Hmmm, another Saiyan who isn’t in a
transformed state, interesting.
RADITS
Where have you been for the last thousand
years? Us Saiyans have come a long way from
being simple monsters of destruction.
PICCOLO
Really? What is different now?
Radits laughs again.
RADITS
I guess your right we are still monsters, just
a different type of nightmare, one a little more
terrifying.
PICCOLO
Is there are point or do you just like boosting?
RADITS
Straight to the point I like that. Well you see I
am looking for someone, another Saiyan. You
might know of him, his name is Kakarot.
PICCOLO

Hmmm, name doesn’t ring a bell sorry, but
listen why don’t you team up with me. Together
we could conquer many worlds.
Radits smiles.
RADITS
Why would I join someone who is so weak?
Don’t help me then but it doesn’t matter I will
find him and you will all die.
Radits sends an energy ball at Piccolo who dives fully under
the water to avoid it. Radits prepares another energy ball to
throw but the device on the side of his face starts making
noises. A voice is heard, Vegeta.
VEGETA
Have you found him yet?
RADITS
No it wasn’t him.
VEGETA
Then what are you still doing there? Stop
wasting time and find him.
RADITS
Yes Vegeta.
Radits takes off into the air. When he is gone we see Piccolo
emerge from out of the water.
(22) INT – KAME HOUSE – DAY

Everyone is standing around the television.
BULMA
Don’t you lot watch the news?
ROSHI
No, not really.
Bulma takes out a mobile device. She presses some buttons
then throws the information from her device onto the
television. A newsroom appears on the television with a man
reading the news.
NEWSREADER
It is unclear what or who caused these
attacks.
Pictures flash up on the screen of giant craters in the middle of
a city.
NEWSREADER
But the devastation caused by them will be
felt for years. Hundreds dead and thousands
homeless as we try and comprehend just how
an attack like this happened.
The television continues to show scenes of destruction as
Bulma turns it off.
BULMA
Well?

ROSHI
Well what? It doesn’t look like Piccolo’s
work. Why would he only destroy such a
small amount and for what purpose? He
likes to go big in his destruction, perhaps
overcompensating for something.
BABA
No this isn’t the work of Piccolo. I have sensed
the earth is in grave danger. That is why I have
come, to warn you. Something horrible has
arrived.
BULMA
What do you mean?
BABA
When I look into the future of the Earth all I
see is darkness.
Goku walks to the door.
ROSHI
Where are you going?
GOKU
I’m going to find out what caused this.
KRILLIN
Wait I will come to. I haven’t been training
here for nothing. Now is the time for me
to shine, and I’m not talking about the top of
my head.

Goku nods then takes off to the air. The force breaks the path
in front of Roshi’s house. Krillin turns back to the others.
KRILLIN
Um...I guess I will take a bus there or
something. Can someone lend me a few
dollars?
(23) EXT – DESTROYED CITY – DAY
Camera moves across crater. Destroyed buildings surround it.
Thunder is heard and rain starts falling. The crater starts to fill
up with water.
Camera moves into Goku walking towards the centre of the
crater. A metallic ship is sitting there. It is capsule in shape and
is big enough to hold one person.
Goku moves around the ship examining it.
RADITS O.S.
Bring back memories?
Goku looks up from the ship, Radits is standing on the edge of
the crater. Goku clenches his fists.
RADITS
I have finally found you, though you are
weaker than I thought you would be.
GOKU
Who are you and why did you do this?
RADITS
Technically I didn’t do anything here. But,
hey don’t be so gloomy. It’s been a long time
since we had a family reunion, brother.

Goku is shocked.
GOKU
What are you talking about? I don’t have a
brother.
Radits walks to the middle to meet Goku.
RADITS
Of course you do he is standing right in front
of you. Of course I don’t expect you to
remember you were only a baby when you
were sent here so I don’t expect you to
remember me but surely you see the
resemblance?
GOKU
You’re a Saiyan?
RADITS
Yes, now it is coming back to you. It doesn’t
seem like you have been doing your job though.
GOKU
What do you want?
RADITS
Hmm, it seems no one on this planet likes
to talk. Very well then, I have come here to find
you. Our planet was destroyed, only four of us
were absent at the time. At first Vegeta, prince
of the saiyans thought he was the only survivor,
but shortly after he found me and Napa and

now we have come for the last of us, you.
Together we will seize our right as the strongest
warriors in the universe and take whatever
planet we can for ourselves.
GOKU
Nice story but I am sorry to inform you that I
decline your offer.
RADITS
I am sorry to hear that but I’m not asking you.
GOKU
I would rather die than join you.
Radits is standing in front of Goku. He smiles.
RADITS
I was kind of hoping you would say that.
Radits throws a punch hitting Goku in the face. Goku flies
threw the side of the crater and into one of the destroyed
building. Before he can stand up Radits appears in front of him
throwing another punch. Goku dodges it; Radits hand goes
through the wall of the building like it was made of paper.
RADITS
Not bad, you’re a little stronger than I
thought, but only a little.
Radits rips his arm from the wall pulling what’s left of the
building down. He puts his hand to his scouter that is beeping
and making noises.

RADITS
You see this device it is called a scouter
and it lets me know how powerful my
opponent is. Right now it tells me that
your power is about half of mine, so you
don’t really stand a chance. Join us now
and live.
GOKU
No thanks.
Goku swings a car around to the side of Radits who stands
there and takes the blow. The car bends in half around him but
Radits isn’t moved at all.
RADITS
Is that the best you can do brother?
my scouter shows me where you are
at all times brother, you wouldn’t even be
able to sneak up on me, give up.
Radits explodes the car sending Goku back. Radits appears
behind him. Goku tries to dodge but Radits is able to hit him in
the ribs with his elbow. Goku falls to the ground clutching his
side. He coughs and blood pours out of his mouth. Several of
his ribs are now broken.
RADITS
Aaaaa, pathetic. You’re not even worth
the effort.
GOKU
Maybe not but I won’t stop trying.

Goku grinds his teeth and stands up. He pulls his hands to his
side.
GOKU
KA-ME-HA-ME-HAAAAAAAAAAA!
Goku pushes out the blast throwing his arms in front of him.
His hands are shaky from the extreme pain. Radits stands still
to take the blast head on, but his scouter starts making noises
and he realises he needs to dodge it.
There is a massive explosion as the cars are thrown back and
some more buildings are destroyed.
Goku clutches his ribs again. As the smoke vanishes he can see
that his attack failed. Radits walks towards him, his armour is
damaged and there is blood pouring down his arm.
RADITS
You surprised me with that one.
Krillin O.S.
Goku, are you OK?
A flying car has landed piloted by Bulma. Roshi is also in the
car. Krillin is running to the fight scene. Goku turns to Krillin
then to Radits who smiles.
GOKU
Krillin stop don’t come any closer!
Radits throws an energy ball towards Krillin, it hits him in his
midsection going threw his body and separating the top from
the bottom.

GOKU
Nooooooooooo!
Roshi and bulma get out of the car to tend to Krillin but he is
already dead. The rain carries his blood to Goku who looks
down at it.
RADITS
You could have avoided this kakarot, but
You just wouldn’t...
Goku flies at Radits and punches him in the face. Blood pours
from his nose as it breaks. Radits hits back forcing Goku’s head
backwards. Goku brings his head back to Radits, head butting
him. Radits flies to the ground. The scouter starts buzzing
again. Radits looks up worried, but as soon as he looks up he is
hit by a large green energy ball.
Camera move to Piccolo floating in the air. He lands next to
the body of Radits.
Radits is barely alive, he is missing an arm and both his legs.
RADITS
Help me...
PICCOLO
I’m sorry I don’t help those that are
weaker than me.
Goku walks over to Piccolo.
GOKU
Piccolo, thanks for the help.

Piccolo doesn’t say anything, he just huffs.
RADITS
You may have beaten me but you will soon
Be sharing the same fate as your friend.
GOKU
Don’t worry about him he will be back to
himself in no time.
RADITS
What? How?
GOKU
On this planet there are things known as
Dragonballs. Whoever finds them all is
granted any wish they desire. Krillin will
get the last laugh.
Radits tries to laugh, blood spills from his mouth.
RADITS
Will he just? This device lets me do more
than just see someone’s power. It is also
a communicator. I’m not the only Saiyan
on this planet. They now know of the
dragonballs, they will want to find them, they
will want to make a wish.
PICCOLO
Shut up.

Piccolo puts his foot on Radits throat then sends a blast at his
head.
GOKU
Can we trust you?
PICCOLO
My mortal enemy is standing before me
injured yet I haven’t killed him yet.
GOKU
Good point. We have to find the dragonballs.
We have three in our possession. The Saiyans
must not find them.
PICCOLO
Agreed. I have my own plans and to achieve
them we must defeat the Saiyans. Don’t worry
as soon as we defeat them we will be enemies
once more. For now I suggest you heal yourself
and if it is possible become stronger. Something
tells me the other two are much more
powerful than this one was. It’s a terrible thing
but I admit that I can’t defeat them without
you.
Piccolo floats up to the sky.
PICCOLO
I will find as many dragonballs as I can then I
will find you.
Piccolo flies off. Goku moves to be next to Krillin. He moves his
hand over his face closing his eyes. Bulma and Roshi are
standing next to him. They pick up the body and head back to
the car.

(24) EXT – VILLAGE – DAY
Flames are dancing around huts made of sticks and leaves.
Buzzing noises are heard.
Camera moves into a close up of Vegeta’s face. He has his
hand up to his scouter.
VEGETA
Nappa, I have some good news.
A voice comes from out of the scouter.
NAPPA
Yes Vegeta what is it?
VEGETA
Radits is dead, but he found Kakarot
and in doing so found out some useful
information.
NAPPA
Great, but if he is dead then how is
that good news.
VEGETA
Like I said he found out something interesting.
We are now looking for something called
dragonballs. I want you to set your scouter to
detect any abnormal energy sources.
NAPPA
Ok, but will that work?

VEGETA
Yes, it works.
Vegeta positions his hand in front of his face. A glowing,
orange dragonball is in it.
Camera moves out revealing Vegeta sitting on top of a pile of
dead bodies. The village is burning around him.
(25) INT – KAME HOUSE DOWNSTAIRS – DAY
Master Roshi is sitting at a coffee table; Chi Chi is sitting across
from him. They are both on their knees drinking tea.
CHI CHI
So how is he?
ROSHI
He is a lot better, but it is hard to get
him to rest.
The sound of someone moving around a room upstairs can be
heard.
CHI CHI
Is he, training?
Roshi smiles.
ROSHI
Yes.
CHI CHI

Does he know you can hear him?
ROSHI
No. But if he is well enough to be moving
around like that then he is getting better.
I think you should go up and see him.
Chi Chi nods. She stands and walks up the stairs. Roshi’s eye’s
follows from his sitting position trying to look up Chi Chi’s skirt
as she ascends.
(26) INT- KAME HOUSE UP STAIRS - DAY
At the top of the stairs is a door she knocks on it then opens it
slowly. There is a swoosh noise and she sees a blur of colour. A
bed in the room slides across the floor as if someone dived
into it.
Chi Chi moves to the side of the bed. Goku is in it facing away
from her. He opens his eye’s as Chi Chi approaches.
GOKU
Chi Chi, hi.
CHI CHI
Hi Goku how you feeling?
GOKU
Much better. I really think I am ready
to start training again.
CHI CHI
Really? I think I will have to see for myself.

Goku puts his hands in a defensive position ready for an attack
from Chi Chi but she moves in slowly and places her hands on
his face pulling it to hers and embracing him with a kiss. After
several seconds she pulls away.
GOKU
I don’t understand my lips weren’t injured
I hurt my ribs.
Chi Chi smiles at him then leans in to kiss him again. Pushing
him down onto the bed she pulls her top off then leans back in
to Goku.
(27) INT – KAME HOUSE DOWNSTAIRS - DAY
Move to Roshi down stairs. He is standing on the coffee table
looking through a hole in the floorboards. He is smiling and
mumbling to himself.
Roshi’s POV Through the hole. We see Chi Chi taking off her
bra. She throws it off and it lands on top of the hole.
ROSHI
Shit.
(28) INT – CAPSULE CORP – DAY
Camera moves across work benches covered in electronic
junk. Move onto Bulma sitting at one of the few open spaces
along the benches. She has a screwdriver in one hand and
Radits scouter is on the bench. She pries the scouter open with
the screwdriver, but there are no circuit boards on the inside.
She slams the screwdriver on the bench, frustrated that she
can’t figure out the alien technology.
She puts her head into her hands but looks up when she hears
a beeping noise coming from another spot on the bench.
Camera moves out to show the dragon radar beeping. In the
centre are two dragonballs with a third moving very fast
towards them.

(29) EXT – KAME HOUSE – DAY
It is a peaceful mourning. Camera moves in on Goku standing
in a classic martial arts position. His legs are bent slightly and
his arms are at his waist. He slowly starts a series of
movements. His hands duplicate martial arts moves in slow
motion. As he continues he starts to move faster, throwing
punches, kicks and jumps. He continues his impressive array of
techniques until he lands in front of a punching bag which he
round house kicks. As his heal hits the bag it explodes and the
chain holding it snaps off. The remainder of the bag goes flying
through the air and brakes through a window. People yelling
can be heard from inside.
(30) INT – KAME HOUSE – DAY
There is glass on the floor and Roshi now has a bandage
around his arm. Bulma is standing next to him with Yamcha
and Goku has entered through the back.
Bulma looks anxious she is holding the dragon radar.
GOKU
What’s wrong?
Bulma puts the Radar up to Goku’s face.
BULMA
This is what’s wrong, someone
With a dragonball is approaching.
Goku stares at the dragon radar.
(31) EXT – THE SKY – DAY

POV of someone flying through the sky. They are moving fast,
landscapes vanish underneath them. Eventually they arrive at
a city. They slow down as they approach the kami house.
(32) EXT – KAME HOUSE – DAY
Goku, Roshi, Bulma and Yamcha are all waiting outside looking
at the sky as if waiting for something. Goku clenches his fists.
Camera moves out to reveal something in the distance floating
in the sky. Their eye’s follow the movement as whoever it is
lands. As he lands we see that it is Piccolo. He comes down
very fast stopping as he lands on the ground with a loud bang.
The force knocks everyone but Goku back a little.
Piccolo doesn’t say anything at first. He just opens his hand
revealing a dragonball that he throws to Goku. It travels at an
incredible speed. Goku puts his hand up and catches it with
ease.
PICCOLO
This was the only one I could find.
It seems that the Saiyans have their
own method of finding them. However
it doesn’t look like they can pin point
the exact location of a dragonball but they
can find out the general location and it is
only a matter of time before they work out
where it is.
GOKU
I see, then the best thing to do is
go out and meet them before they
do any more damage.
PICCOLO
No, we aren’t strong enough.
ROSHI
I agree, if you went to fight them
now the only thing you would accomplish

is handing them the strongest defence we
have.
GOKU
I can’t just sit here and do nothing. It has
been two weeks now and every day we hear
about the deaths of more people. I can’t stay
here and watch it happen and we can’t just
sit around training forever, eventually they
will come for the rest of the dragonballs and
for me.
ROSHI
If waiting for them to come gives us more time
To train then that is what we should do.
GOKU
But they could come tomorrow and I wouldn’t
be any stronger than I am now. If I go and face
them now, even if I lose we can destroy the
dragonballs and they might leave.
PICCOLO
They won’t leave. Even if you died and the
Dragonballs were gone they would still want to
kill every person on this planet. However come
with me for one week and I will teach you a
technique that will improve your strength
tenfold.
YAMCHA
Don’t do it Goku. He probably just wants you
alone so he can finish you off himself. And what
will we do if the Saiyans come while you’re
gone.
PICCOLO
Why would I do that when I could just as easily
kill all of you right now.
Piccolo lifts up his arm and a piece of glass flies through the
air, it lands in Yamchas right shoulder. Bulma moves to
Yamchas side checking to make sure he is ok.

BULMA
Don’t move I will take you inside and get it out.
Yamcha nods his head biting his bottom lip. Bulma turns back
to Piccolo.
BULMA
Your a monster.
Piccolo doesn’t answer.
ROSHI
Goku, I think you should go. If Piccolo
wanted to kill you he would have done
it during your last encounter. Don’t worry
I know a few people, others out there that
trained with me. I will ask them to come and
delay the saiyans so you can finish your training.
GOKU
Ok, I will go with you and hopefully this
Technique is as strong as you say it is.
PICCOLO
Don’t worry it is.
Piccolo takes off into the air.
ROSHI
Good luck.

Goku smiles at him then takes off into the air following
Piccolo.
(33) EXT – SMALL TOWN – DAY
Camera moves into Asian style small town. As we move across
the ground we see several bodies scattered around. A large
hulking man is standing in the centre of town, Nappa. Several
strangers approach him. They carry an assortment of weapons
from guns, to baseball bats and knifes.
NAPPA
What do we have here?
GANG LEADER
I don’t know what you are looking for
But this is Crane territory.
NAPPA
Yea, that’s real nice but maybe you
can help me find what I am looking for
since your friends couldn’t.
GANG LEADER
You must be new to this area to speak
So rudely in front of us, but it doesn’t matter.
We will take care of you.
NAPPA
Is that so.
Nappa vanishes from in front of the gang. He reappears next
to one of the gang members. He grabs the man’s head from
behind.
NAPPA

I am looking for a dragonball. Tell me
where it is or I will kill him.
GANG LEADER
I wouldn’t tell you even if I knew what
a dragonball was.
The gang leader takes out a knife and they get ready to attack
Nappa. Nappa seeing that they won’t help him pulls the guys
head off and throws it into another gang member. There is a
loud bang as the two skulls collide.
Only two members and the leader are left standing. One man
attacks Nappa with a bat. It breaks when it hits him. Nappa
responds by grabbing the guys head with both hands and
bringing it down onto his knee. The man’s face collapses in on
itself.
The other man tries throwing a punch at Nappa. He catches
the guys arm and bends it backwards breaking it in half at the
elbow. Still holding his arm Nappa forces the man onto the
ground. He places his foot on the guys head and squashes it.
The gang leader screams and lunges forward with his knife.
Nappa hits his arm out of the way then punches him hard in
the gut.
NAPPA
You should have just told me where it was.
Nappa punches the guy in the throat. The leader falls to the
ground with his hands around his neck trying to breath.
Move to leader’s point of view from ground. We see his hand
reach out in front as he tries to find oxygen to take in. We see
Nappa’s boots move onto screen. The last thing the man see’s
is Nappa’s foot flying into his face. Screen goes black.
Move back to shot of Nappa. He is looking down at the dead
body when an explosion catches his attention. Shots from a
cannon can be heard. An army of tanks and soldiers enters the
shot. A jet flies overhead.

NAPPA
Oh, this will be fun.
Nappa takes to the air. The jet flies towards him shooting
bullets and firing its missiles that hit him. Nappa flies out of
the smoke from the missile explosion and meets the jet head
on. The plane tries to fly around him but Nappa grabs the
nose. He takes the plane and hurls it towards the tanks. It
takes out two of them.
Nappa lands back on the ground. He releases an energy attack
into one of the remaining tanks, leaving one left. The soldiers
are firing their weapons at him. He lifts up the tank by its gun
and flies to the front line of soldiers. He takes the tank and
swings it through the soldiers wiping them out.
We move to one of the injured soldiers laying on the ground.
He is trying to move but can’t. Nappa lands in front of him.
SOLDIER
Who are you?
NAPPA
The end of this planet.
Nappa moves his boat onto the soldiers face. He pushes down
and we go to black.
(34) EXT – MOUNTAIN – DAY
Move across a peaceful mountain landscape. The serenity is
lost when two figures, Goku and Piccolo land.
GOKU
Ok, I am ready to learn this new powerful
technique.

PICCOLO
There is no technique I just wanted to get you
Alone so I could kill you.
GOKU
What?
Goku positions himself ready for an attack.
PICCOLO
Relax, I was just joking. Though the look
On your face is priceless to me.
Goku relaxes his position and smiles.
PICCOLO
I will warn you now, what you are about to
learn could kill you.
GOKU
Thanks for the warning but I will take my
chances.
PICCOLO
Good, we shall start then. I cannot show it to
you as I am unable to perform it.
GOKU
What? If that’s true than how are you suppose
to teach it to me?

Because I know how it works and how to do it,
my body just can’t handle the pressure of it.
GOKU
And what makes you think that mine can?
Piccolo smiles.
PICCOLO
Because you are a Saiyan. Let me tell you how
I came across your race in the first place. I
wasn’t always a messenger of death. Long ago
I was an explorer.
Fade to darkness. We see a grey and green planet fade onto
screen.
PICCOLO V.O.
My home planet was dying. I was chosen to
leave and find a better place to live. It was my
job to make sure the Namekian race survived.
(35) EXT- SPACE
A small ship leaves the planet and heads into space. We move
into the ship were we see a young Piccolo staring off into the
stars.
PICCOLO V.O.
I travelled to many worlds but most of them
were corrupt or barren. Most of the inhabitants
were to stupid or to arrogant to catch my
attention.

We move back to the ship moving through space. It
approaches a small red planet.
PICCOLO V.O.
Until one day I came across a red planet who’s
Inhabitants were different to anything I had
seen.
(36) EXT – PLANET VEGETA FORESTS - DAY
Move to Piccolo landed on the planet, he is hiding behind
some trees watching a group of Saiyans fighting.
PICCOLO V.O.
They were brutal and though they had some
cities on their planet they were mostly wild.
But unlike the natives of other planets the
Saiyans had true power. They didn’t fight each
other for lands or religion, they fought because
they could and because they were very, very
good at it.
Piccolo moves out from the bushes and introduces himself.
PICCOLO V.O.
I quickly befriended the Saiyans. They accepted
me after I showed them that I too possessed
power like theirs.
Move to Piccolo training and watching the Saiyans. He is
talking with one of them.
PICCOLO V.O.
After several months I was told about the
upcoming moon festival that would happen
later that day. It was the most important day of
the year. It was the day when their sun would
be covered by their moon. An event that only
happens on the planet once every One hundred

Move to showing of the eclipse on planet Vegeta.
(37) EXT – PLANET VEGETA CITY - DAY
Piccolo is looking down from a temple style building into an
open space were all the fully adult Saiyans are standing
waiting. As the Eclipse finishes the adult Saiyans all turn into
their oozaru form.
PICCOLO V.O.
I am informed that all the Saiyans of an adult
age transform into this form when the eclipse
occurs. They tell me stories of how there was
once another race on the planet that possessed
great strength through metal beasts. The
Saiyans were at war with them for many years.
One day there was an eclipse and all the Saiyan
Warriors transformed. They then easily
defeated their enemy.
(38) EXT – PLANET VEGETA - DUSK
There is a great war saiyans are fighting other humanoids who
are well dressed in futuristic armour. They pilot Giant robots,
air ships and tanks. We see the eclipse and the transformed
Saiyans destroy their enemies. They are led by a giant golden
oozaru.
PICCOLO V.O.
The leader of the Saiyans transformation
was different. While the others simply
took on the forms of large apes and tripled
their strength, he transformed into a giant
golden ape and they say his strength was
one hundred times greater than the next
strongest oozaru.

The golden oozaru goes on a rampage destroying many of the
enemies machines and buildings.
PICCOLO V.O.
Every festival that happens one hundred
the saiyans old enough retake their oozaru
form hoping that one of them will once again
take the form of the great golden oozaru.
CUT TO
(39) EXT – CITY - DAY
Vegeta is walking down the streets of a large city, it is burning.
He stops and looks around before taking to the sky.
PICCOLO V.O.
They say that the golden oozaru form is
reserved for the ancestor of the original one.
But if what that saiyan told you is true then
There is a good chance that the bloodline has
Ended.
(40) EXT – SKY OVER CITY - DAY
Vegeta stops when he reaches a distance that he can see the
entire city under him. Smoke bellows up from the flames.
Vegeta puts his hand out and prepares an energy ball.
PICCOlO V.0.
But imagine if that Saiyan existed today.
Imagine how scary it would be for all of us.
Vegeta releases the energy into the city. There is a loud bang
followed by the appearance of a very large mushroom cloud.
Move to Vegeta’s face. He is emotionless. His eyes bare down
on the city he just destroyed.

(41) EXT – MOUNTAINS – DAY
Move back to Piccolo talking to Goku.
PICCOLO
My point is you are not human, and
you posses are greater strength and
body than I do. You will be able to master
the forbidden technique of my planet,
you will be able to master the Kaioken.
(42) EXT- MOUNT PAUZU – DAY
A car pulls up in front of the remains of Goku’s house. Bulma
and Chi Chi step out.
BULMA
Crap, how are we going to find the
dragonball in that mess.
The girls start going through the rubble.
BULMA
This will take all day.
Suddenly Chi Chi stands up and moves away from the rubble
before she throws up everywhere.
BULMA
Are you ok?
Chi Chi
Yea, I’m fine. Just feeling a little off
today.
Chi Chi looks up and sees’s the small building that still stands
next to the house.
(43) INT – SHRINE –DAY
Chi Chi is standing in the small building. She sees the shrine
with the dragonball and picture of Gohan on it. She picks up
the picture and studies it before taking the dragonball from its
resting spot.
(44) EXT – TEMPLE STEPS – NIGHT

A pair of shadowy figures are climbing the stairs of a temple,
Roshi and Yamcha. The temple is very large with many stairs to
climb to reach the top. There are torches lighting the path.
Camera moves in to closer view of Roshi and Yamcha climbing
the stairs.
YAMCHA
So how do you know this guy anyway?
ROSHI
We were both students together many
years ago. It is very important that you don’t
say anything while we are up here. If you need
to talk make sure you are respectful and don’t
make him angry.
When they reach the top a pair of guards are waiting for
them.
(45) EXT – TEMPLE ROOM - NIGHT
The guards lead Roshi and Yamcha to a room where a man is
sitting on a chair. The man is Asian and is another Martial arts
master, Tsuru Sennin the Crane hermit, Master Shen.
SHEN
What brings the great master Roshi to
my humble home?
ROSHI
HA! There has never been anything humble
about you Shen. It doesn’t surprise me to find
you living in a place that resembles a pirates
cave surrounded by a bunch of thugs. Guess the
rumours about you being a tyrant are true.

Yamcha tilts his head towards Roshi and speaks as quiet as
possible.
YAMCHA
Nice.
SHEN
Hmmf. I do not know why you came up here
If all you are going to do is shout insults at me.
I should just get rid of you right now.
Shen looks away from Roshi, he looks smug. Roshi balls his
hands into fists and slowly tries to talk with Shen once again.
ROSHI
I apologise. Please forgive my rudeness but
we have a urgent request for you.
Shen looks back at Roshi with regained interest.
SHEN
Really, what kind of request?
ROSHI
As you may or may not know there is a great
evil on our planet that needs to be stopped. I
have a student who can defeat this enemy but
he needs time to prepare. I ask that you lend us
some of your most promising students to help
hold back this threat.
Shen stares at Roshi suspiciously.
SHEN
So you want me to send my best student
into a battle where he may die so your student
can finish whatever he is doing and come in to
the fight late to claim victory?

Roshi nods his head.
ROSHI
Yea, pretty much.
SHEN
I am sorry Roshi but I have to respectfully
decline. Maybe it is your student who should
delay the threat so mine can get stronger.
UNKOWN VOICE
I will go.
A bald man steps out from behind Shen, Tien.
SHEN
No Tien, none of us will go. We will let
Roshi’s fighters die first before we take
the glory.
TIEN
I am not going to help this Master Roshi.
I am going so that I can get revenge for my
brother who was killed by these invaders.
I’m not interested in any glory.
ROSHI
Thank you.
Tien turns to Roshi, he is angry.

TIEN
Like I said, I am not coming to help you
all I seek is revenge. You may as well tell
your student to stay at home and play with
his dolls because there won’t be a battle for
him to fight in.
(46) EXT – MOUNTAIN – DAY
The serenity of the mountains is broken by the screams of
Goku.
GOKU
Arrrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhh.
PICCOLO
That’s it Goku. You must bring out
All your energy.
After several moer seconds of yelling Goku stops. Energy is
swirling around him.
PICCOLO
Great now we can get started. The
Kaioken is unlike any other attack you
would have done before. Instead of
releasing the energy I want you to concentrate
it back into your body.
Goku looks shocked but nods. He clenches his fists and try’s
focusing the energy. It stops swirly as much but the pressure
gets to Goku and the energy is released. The energy travels
through the ground breaking up a path along the way. It
reaches a mountain exploding it.
Goku falls to one knee and is breathing heavily.
PICCOLO

Good, don’t be too concerned with
your failure. This was just a test run
to see how you handled it. You see
Goku you have probably never used
Your energy to do anything but throw
Energy attacks like your Kamehameha
Move. Am I right?
Goku gets up controlling his breathing.
GOKU
Yes, thats right.
PICCOLO
This is what makes the Kaioken different.
it works by pumping your energy back into
your body. However like I said earlier the
pressure it puts on your body is immense.
Theoretically the strength you can gain from
the attack is only limited by how much power
you can produce. However the more energy
you put into the more pressure and just like
a kettle boiling the pressure will need to be
released.
Goku looks over at the destroyed mountain.
GOKU
So that is what happened before?
PICCOLO
Yes, your body needed to release the
energy.
GOKU
So as long as I release the energy I should
Be ok?

PICCOLO
Well it depends on how much energy
you use. Have you ever seen a kettle
boil without a big enough outlet?
GOKU
No.
Piccolo picks up a water canister and fills it with water from
the river. He puts the lid back on and then using a small energy
attack puts a tiny hole in it. He then throws the canister into
the air and using his energy boils the water inside. After
several seconds some steam starts coming out of the hole.
Boiling sounds can be heard and the container starts shaking.
Bang! The container explodes and the water falls to the
ground.
PICCOLO
Understand?
Goku looks at the broken pieces on the ground.
GOKU
Yea.
(47) EXT – MOUNTAINS – NIGHT
The same screams can be heard be heard again. Goku is
standing in the river this time attempting to concentrate his
energy again. The water is swirling around him this time.
Camera moves to Piccolo watching Goku in secret from the
darkness.
We move back to Goku. He tries to hold the energy but it
escapes again, this time the water from the river explodes into
the air.

Camera moves to CLOSE UP of Goku’s face. He is breaving
heavy as the water falls back into the river as drops hitting
goku on the face. When the water has all fallen back in we see
Goku gather his energy attempting the move again.
Move to CLOSE UP of Piccolo’s face. He smiles.
(48) EXT – FOREST – NIGHT
Nappa is sitting in an open space. He is eating a large chunk of
meat. Half a deer carcass is laying in front of him. His scouter
makes noises and he sputs his hand to it pressing a button.
NAPPA
Yes Vegeta.
VEGETA O.S. (scouter)
What setting is your scouter on?
NAPPA
It is detecting the dragonball like you
asked.
VEGETA
That’s good. I recently detected a strong
Power level on my scouter. I think it is
Kakarot.
NAPPA
I see, so what does the scouter say about his
power level?
VEGETA

It says it’s over 9000.
Nappa throws the hunch of meat he is holding against a tree.
NAPPA
What? Over 9000! No way.
VEGETA
I think you should go and deal with him
now. I will send you through the coordinates.
NAPPA
OK. I will go there now and deal with him.
VEGETA
Nappa, we don’t have much time,
he is nearly here.
(49) EXT – CITY – NIGHT
Vegeta is standing outside an abandoned building. He
mumbles.
VEGETA
Guess it’s in there.
Vegeta approaches the building.
(50) INT – BUILDING – NIGHT
Vegeta moves through the building he looks around as he
walks. He approaches a room and enters.

(51) INT – ROOM – NIGHT
There is a table and a bed in the room, it is dark. He goes to
the table and looks under it. He hears a noise come from the
bed. There is a young girl around 8 – 9 years old.
GIRL
Who’s there?
Vegeta walks to the bed, the girl is tied to one of the posts.
She seems scared and backs away as Vegeta approaches her.
VEGETA
Hello there, perhaps you can help
me. I am looking for a small orange
ball that looks like this one.
Vegeta takes out his dragonball and shows it to her.
GIRL
I have seen one of those before
I found it near my house.
VEGETA
That’s great so where is it now?
GIRL
I don’t know, they took it off me
when I arrived here.
VEGETA
Hmm, is that so? Well who are they,
Your parents?

GIRL
No, I don’t know who they are. My
parents sold me to them. When they
brought me here they took me to another
room first. That is where they took my
possessions.
VEGETA
I see, if I release you will you show me this
room?
The girl nods. Vegeta breaks the rope around her hands. She
grabs Vegeta’s hand and leads him out of the room.
VEGETA
Thank you. As a reward I will let you
escape this place.
(52) INT – BUILDING – NIGHT
The girl starts to cry, she tightens her grip on Vegeta’s arm.
GIRL
So I can go see my parents again?
VEGETA
If that is what you want to do, but
why would you want to go back to
them? They sold you like a piece of
meat.
GIRL
I don’t know, wouldn’t you want to
see your parents again if they were taken
from you?

Move to CLOSE UP of Vegeta’s eye. He blinks and we are taken
back to the ship when he was a kid. We see the amulet thrown
in front of him then we flash back to the present.
VEGETA
No, I wouldn’t.
GIRL
O, I’m sorry. This is the room.
(53) INT – POSESSION ROOM - NIGHT
The pair walks into the room. The girl stops just inside not
letting go of Vegeta’s hand. She is afraid. Vegeta moves her
hand off of his.
VEGETA
Stay here, I will be back soon.
The girl grabs Vegeta’s arm.
VEGETA
Don’t worry nothing will happen.
The girl timidly releases his arm.
Vegeta moves to the back where a pile of junk is sitting. He
shuffles through it till he finds the dragonball. He picks it up
and smiles.
BANG! BANG! Two shots are fired. The second hits the back of
Vegeta’s armour. He turns slowly.
The girl is laying on the floor in a puddle of blood. Three men
are standing at the front of the room.

MAN 1
Who the hell are you?
Vegeta looks down at the dead body.
VEGETA
You shouldn’t have done that.
(54) EXT – CITY – NIGHT
In front of the building that Vegeta entered. Screams are
heard then a body is seen coming from the roof of the
building.
(55) EXT – CITY PLAZA - NIGHT
Several streets over the body lands into a crowded plaza. It
crashes loudly onto the pavement. People start screaming. A
red light is seen leaving the building from the roof.
(56) INT – KAME HOUSE BATHROOM – DAY
Chi Chi is parading around the bathroom. There is a pregnancy
test sitting on the bench. She walks back and forth biting her
nails and checking her watch every few seconds. There is a
knock on the door.
(57) INT – KAME HOUSE – DAY
We move to see Bulma standing outside a door.
BULMA
Are you ok Chi Chi?

Chi Chi
Yea I’m fine, I will be out in a minute.
BULMA
Ok.
Bulma walks off.
(58) INT – KAME HOUSE BATHROOM - DAY
We move back to Chi Chi who looks at her watch again then
goes to pick up the test.
Move to close up of test revealing two pink lines indicating a
positive test.
Move back to Chi Chi who drops the test into a bin then sits
(clothed) on the toilet with her face planted in her hands.
(59) EXT – KAME HOUSE –DAY
Tien is sitting outside mediating, Roshi is standing against the
wall watching him. Tien slowly opens his eyes.
ROSHI
Very good, you have wonderful
concentration.
TIEN
It is easy to concentrate when you know
What you want.
Roshi backs off of the wall and moves closer to Tien.

ROSHI
So what is it that you want?
TIEN
Revenge that is my only goal.
ROSHI
I see, but what will be your goal after
you achieve revenge? It seems like a
empty ambition to have.
TIEN
Maybe for some but I don’t care about
about any noble deeds or helping others.
I only care about what I want, call me selfish
but that won’t change anything.
The back door opens up revealing Bulma.
BULMA
It’s time.
(60) INT – KAME HOUSE – DAY
Bulma, Roshi, Yamcha and Tien are waiting in the lounge. Chi
Chi comes from out of the bathroom and sits down with the
rest of the group.
ROSHI
Well the time has come. According to
Bulma the Saiyans have all the remaining
dragonballs which means they will come
for these remaining ones. Yamcha and Tien
will come with me and we will take the
dragonballs with us luring them away from the
city and distracting them until Goku has
finished his training. Bulma will wait here for
Goku and let him know that we will be here.

Roshi points to a spot on a map that is spread out over a
coffee table.
CHI CHI
Roshi, do you mind if I wait here with
Bulma? I really want to see Goku before
he goes to fight.
ROSHI
That’s fine. If there is nothing else we
should leave.
(61) EXT – MOUNTAIN – DUSK
We see movement threw the trees. Goku and Piccolo are
running side by side attacking each other through the gaps in
the trees. They burst out of the forest throwing kicks and
punches at each other. Piccolo charges Goku, he escapes by
running up the closest tree, when he reaches the top he jumps
and while flying through the air upside down he throws an
energy blast at Piccolo who dodges the attack. When Piccolo
prepares to counter Goku is already waiting with his hand at
Piccolo’s face ready to fire the finishing move.
Goku smiles and puts his hand down. Piccolo smiles back.
PICCOLO
Well done you are getting better. A couple
more days and you should be ready.
GOKU
I feel ready now.
PICCOLO
I’m sure you do but we shouldn’t take
anything for granted. You wouldn’t want
to underestimate your opponent. One

day’s training could mean the difference
between life and death.
Piccolo moves his head to the side and puts on a unhappy
face.
GOKU
What is wrong?
PICCOLO
Nothing I think it is time for you to eat.
GOKU
I can’t argue with that.
The pair start walking back to their campsite. Piccolo moves
behind Goku.
PICCOLO
I’m sorry, but now isn’t the time for
you to die.
Piccolo hits Goku in the back of the head very hard knocking
him out. Goku falls to the ground.
(62) EXT – MOUNTAINS CAMPSITE - DUSK
Piccolo keeps moving till he gets back to the campsite. Nappa
is waiting there looking around.
PICCOLO
Looking for someone?

Nappa turns at the sound of Piccolo’s voice.
NAPPA
Actually I am but it seems he isn’t here.
Piccolo continues to approach him.
PICCOLO
Maybe I can help you.
NAPPA
I doubt it, but you look like fun so lets
Play. I never thought I would find a namek
here.
Nappa extends his hand releasing an energy blast. Piccolo
dodges it then moves with incredible speed to be in front of
Nappa swinging his elbow at his head. Nappa dodges the
attack.
NAPPA
Not bad, but not good enough.
Nappa swings his leg around kicking Piccolo who goes flying
into a group of trees. Nappa moves to follow but stops when
he sees something coming for him. Piccolo flies out of the
forest holding one very large tree. He swings it at Nappa
catching him by surprise knocking him into a nearby rock
ledge. Nappa recovers from the attack and stands up. Piccolo
swings the tree again this time Nappa grounds himself. The
tree brakes off where it hits him leaving Piccolo holding half a
tree.
Nappa advances on Piccolo knocking him to the ground. He
goes for a finishing shot throwing a punch at Piccolo’s head on

the ground. Piccolo moves his had out of the way then sweeps
Nappa’s legs from underneath him.
Nappa turns and launches himself back up before he hits the
ground. Piccolo uses the momentum of his sweep to pull
himself to a standing position.
The two are now standing a few metres apart from each other.
PICCOLO
Hmmff, I thought you would be stronger.
NAPPA
O I am.
Nappa moves in on Piccolo again. Piccolo puts up his hands to
defend but Nappa vanishes reappearing behind him and
kicking him in the back. Piccolo swings his arm around to hit
him but Nappa vanishes again appearing at his side. He grabs
Piccolo by his other arm and elbows him in the ribs.
Piccolo coughs up blood.
PICCOLO
Why are you looking for the dragonballs.
I don’t believe you are going to wish your
friend back.
NAPPA
Your right. We may be strong but
we will die one day. The dragonballs
will allow us to conquer worlds forever.
Piccolo smiles.
PICCOLO

So that is what you want, immortality,
and you need the dragonballs to achieve it.
I see only one thing to do then.
Nappa flies into the air.
NAPPA
Really and what is that, stand there and let me
kill you?
PICCOLO
Yes.
NAPPA
If that’s the way you want it, Goodbye you
green freak.
Nappa prepares a large energy ball that he throws at Piccolo.
Piccolo doesn’t move, he puts his hands out to the side and
lets the energy ball hit him.
(63) EXT – MOUNTAINS – NIGHT
Goku is laying unconscious on the ground. His eyes slowly
open. He stands up dazed.
(64) EXT – MOUNTAINS - NIGHT
Goku makes his way to the campsite, but there isn’t much left.
The ground is scorched and there are chunks of earth spread
around. In the middle of the chaos is a crater. Goku makes his
way to the centre of the crater where Piccolo is waiting. He is
covered in cuts and blood is pouring out of him.

Goku kneels down beside him.
GOKU
Why?
PICCOLO
You are the only one who can defeat
the saiyans, you must finish your training.
Goku looks upset.
GOKU
I have a lot to thank you for.
PICCOLO
Don’t look so sad we can’t all have a happy
ending, besides I should be thanking you. I
had lost sight of what I had become. I thought
just like the saiyans, if you have power then you
should rule over all. It took you to show me
how empty that ambition was. I can’t atone for
all the things I have done but this the least I can
do.
GOKU
I will see you again.
Piccolo releases a struggling laugh.
PICCOLO
I can’t see you visiting hell anytime soon.
Goodbye.

Piccolo’s eyes close and he stops breathing. Goku stands from
his side and walks over to a rocky ledge. He punches the ledge
as hard as he can. The ledge breaks and the mountain they are
on cracks into two pieces.
GOKU
AARRRRRRRRRRRRRR
We move out revealing the devastation as Goku walks away
from Piccolo’s lifeless body.
(65) INT – KAME HOUSE – DAY
Bulma is sitting down viewing the dragon radar. It stops
making any noises and the dragonball signal vanishes from the
screen.
BULMA
What the?
Bulma starts pushing buttons trying to fix the radar.
(66) EXT – CAR – DAY
A car speeds along a desert road.
(67) INT – CAR – DAY
Roshi, Yamcha and Tien are in the car. Yamcha is driving and
the others are in the back.
Move to CLOSE UP of a bag sitting between Roshi and Tien,
there is an orange glow coming from the bag. Slowly the glow
fades away.
(68) EXT – SKY – DAY

Vegeta is flying through the air. He stops suddenly. He puts his
hand up to his scouter.
(69) EXT – MOUNTAINS – DAY
We move across an epic landscape. There is an explosion
followed by a mushroom cloud reaching to the sky.
(70) EXT – MOUNTAIN FOREST - DAY
A giant hole is in the middle of the forest. All the surrounding
tree’s are scorched. Standing in the middle of the hole is Goku,
he is shaking. He clenches his fists to steady himself.
(71) EXT – MOUNTAINS CAMPSITE – DAY
Goku is sitting down putting his boats on, he stands and does
up his belt. When he is finished getting dressed he walks over
to a small pile of rocks, Piccolo’s grave. He stands there with
his eyes closed for several seconds. He slowly opens them.
GOKU
It is time.
Goku looks up to the sky.
(72) EXT – DESERT – DAY
Yamcha, Roshi and Tien are standing outside of the car. Roshi
puts his hand in the bag of dragonballs and pulls one out.
Instead of glowing with the stars moving around, it simply
looks like a hollow light orange glass ball.
TIEN
Is that supposed to happen?

Roshi pulls out the other two dragonballs. They are exactly the
same.
YAMCHA
What’s going on?
ROSHI
I don’t know. I have never heard of
this happening before. I can only assume
that something is wrong.
There is a loud noise as Nappa lands behind the group. They all
turn to face him.
NAPPA
Hello there. I was following the signal
of the dragonballs which leads right to
this spot when all of a sudden the signal
vanished. Perhaps you can assist me.
Tien walks calmly to the front of the group.
TIEN
Are you the one that killed my brother?
NAPPA
Your brother? Hmm can you describe him
to me, I’ve killed a lot of people.
TIEN
We’ll see how smug you are when I smear your
face over the landscape.

NAPPA
Bring it.
Tien moves fast to close the gap between the two.
ROSHI
Tien wait!
Tien ignores him and swings his arm around to hit Nappa who
catches it. Nappa then pulls Tien closer head butting him. Tien
falls to the ground blood pouring from his nose. Roshi and
Yamcha move to help him but he pushes them away and
stands up. He moves in for another attack using the shadow
Crane technique.
The attack hits Nappa in the face, he doesn’t move.
NAPPA
Aaa, thank you what a wonderful breeze. It
Is rather hot out here, it would be rude of me
Not to return the favour.
Nappa moves into a fighting pose. His scouter starts making
noises. Nappa then stands down. A figure can be seen moving
across the sky. Vegeta lands and moves into a walk stopping a
few metres in front of Tien.
VEGETA
What happened to my dragonballs!
(73) INT – KAMI HOUSE - DUSK
The dragon radar is in pieces on a table. Bulma is probing it
with tools trying to fix it. Chi Chi approaches her.

CHI CHI
Have you worked out what the problem is?
BULMA
No, I have tried everything but the radar
doesn’t seem to have any problems, it’s like
the dragonballs don’t exist anymore.
Bulma picks up a screwdriver and continues to work on it.
BULMA
It’s ok I’ll fix it, but tell me how are you doing?
CHI CHI
Hu, what do you mean?
BULMA
You haven’t been feeling well lately,
I was just wandering if you were any
better.
CHI CHI
Um, yea I’m fine. Thanks for asking though.
Chi Chi walks away not wanting the conversation to go any
longer, Bulma follows her with her eyes.
(74) EXT – DESERT – DUSK
Vegeta is standing looking very angry in front of everyone.
VEGETA
If someone doesn’t tell me what has happened
soon this entire planet is toast!
ROSHI

If the dragonballs have faded out then it can
only mean one thing. Piccolo is dead.
VEGETA
What the hell does that mean?
ROSHI
The mystics didn’t just create the dragonballs.
Piccolo helped, he showed them and after they
were finished he poured his own energy into
them binding them to his life.
VEGETA
Who the hell is Piccolo?
ROSHI
He is a Demon that has taken the power of the
dragonballs to the grave with him.
NAPPA
Vegeta I came across a humanoid earlier that
was not of this planet, he resembled a
Namekian.
VEGETA
And where is he now?
Nappa becomes nervous.
NAPPA
I killed him.
Vegeta clenches his fists.

VEGETA
YOU WHAT?
Vegeta starts gathering energy. A dark red light circles around
him. Nappa starts backing away.
NAPPA
I’m sorry Vegeta, he was at the spot
Kakarot was supposed to be...
VEGETA
You killed a Namekian without stopping
to think what the hell is he doing on this
planet. Did it ever occur to you that a
mystical alien from another planet might
have something to do with the dragonballs?
NAPPA
Well, no. I thought he was just another
fighter to kill.
Vegeta puts out his hands and releases a very large beam of
energy that consumes Nappa. It lasts for several seconds,
when it vanishes there is no sign of Nappa.
VEGETA
You thought wrong.
Vegeta turns to Roshi.
VEGETA
I’m sorry let me introduce myself.
I am Vegeta prince of all saiyans. Now
tell me where is Kakarot?
TIEN
75
I’m sorry but he won’t be coming, however
I will take his place.
VEGETA
You will not die quickly.
(75) INT – KAME HOUSE – NIGHT
Chi Chi is sitting at the couch biting her nails. She hears a noise
and goes to the front door. She opens it and Goku is standing
there.
CHI CHI
Goku.
Bulma comes onto screen.
(76) INT – KAME HOUSE –NIGHT
Goku, Chi Chi and Bulma are standing around a table with a
map.
BULMA
You need to meet them here and you
need to get there fast.
GOKU
I will leave right away.
Chi Chi puts her hand on Goku’s shoulder.
CHI CHI

Can I talk to you first.
(77) EXT – KAME HOUSE – NIGHT
Goku and Chi Chi are standing outside Roshi’s house. Chi Chi
leans against the house.
CHI CHI
This fight will be dangerous so I
thought I should tell you before you leave.
GOKU
Don’t worry. I will be coming back.
CHI CHI
Can you promise that.
Goku doesn’t answer. Chi Chi looks at the ground.
GOKU
Hey, really don’t worry I’m coming back.
Just to prove it I’m not going to listen to
you now because you can tell me when I return.
CHI CHI
No, I need to tell you now.
Goku floats up into the air.
GOKU
Trust me, I will be back, then we can talk.

Goku smiles and then salutes at her before flying off. Chi Chi
slides down the wall till she is sitting on the floor. She has her
hands wrapped around her body and tears are rolling down
her face.
(78) EXT – DESERT – NIGHT
Tien is laying on the ground covered in blood. He slowly tries
to raise himself up.
ROSHI
Tien, stop it you can’t take any more.
Yamcha takes off his jacket and gives it to Roshi.
ROSHI
What are you doing?
YAMCHA
I can’t just stand back and do nothing.
Yamcha runs as fast as he can to Vegeta who is about to hit
Tien again. Vegeta’s scouter makes noises and he turns to face
Yamcha.
ROSHI
Nooo...
Vegeta swings his arm around and knocks Yamcha back the
way he came from. Yamcha flies into the car so hard that it
pushes the car back a couple of metres. Roshi runs to his side.
He studies Yamcha’s body and checks his pulse. He whispers.

ROSHI
He is still alive.
Tien leaning on one knee looks up at Vegeta.
Move in to CLOSE UP of scouter.
Tien gets up and runs straight at Vegeta. The scouter starts
buzzing with noises again.
Move to shot of Tien and Vegeta’s face. Tien has his hand on
the scouter. He smiles but blood is coming from his mouth. He
squeezes his hand destroying the scouter.
We move out to reveal Vegeta’s arm sticking out the back of
Tien’s chess. Vegeta pulls his hand out and Tien falls to the
ground.
Vegeta jumps up and lands in front of Roshi who is next to the
passed out Yamcha.
VEGETA
There is no one left old man.
Roshi stands up facing Vegeta who throws a punch directed at
his face.
Move onto Roshi. He closes his eyes waiting for the impact but
nothing happens.
Move out to see Goku standing in front of Vegeta holding his
fist in his hand.
VEGETA
You must be Kakarot.
GOKU
I prefer Goku.

Goku tries to pull Vegeta closer but Vegeta pulls his hand free
then hits Goku with his other one. Goku puts his hand up to
defend and is pushed back several metres.
VEGETA
So the fight between the last of the
saiyans begins, a battle of gods.
Goku moves back to Vegeta. He throws many punches that are
all countered. Vegeta pushes Goku back then grabs him by the
neck. Vegeta flies quickly to the sky holding Goku. He stops
several hundred metres in the air then using his free hand
elbows Goku back to the earth. As Goku is free falling Vegeta
releases and energy beam that follows him down.
Goku gains control before he hits ground and lands on his feet.
He looks up and is hit straight away by the energy attack.
There is an explosion with lots of smoke.
Move to Roshi dragging Yamcha behind the car.
When the smoke clears Goku has vanished. Vegeta lands in
front of the crater. He looks up and an energy attack is
heading for him. He dodges out the way and we see Goku
land. Vegeta laughs.
VEGETA
Hahaha, that was a good warm up but
the game begins now.
Vegeta starts gathering his energy. Goku does the same. We
see his energy move around him. Goku concentrates. The
energy starts returning into his body. He shouts and a red aura
is released. Goku is shaking from the stress on his body.
Vegeta closes the gap between them tries to kick Goku in the
head. Goku blocks it with his hand then summersaults over
Vegeta landing behind him throwing a punch that Vegeta
blocks.

Vegeta puts both fists together and swings at Goku knocking
him into the ground. Vegeta pulls Goku from the ground with
one hand and swings him into a rock face. As soon as Goku hits
the edge Vegeta comes in and kicks him through to the other
side.
There is a pile of rubble on the ground. It moves and we see
Goku’s hand raise up out of it. Vegeta grabs the hand and pulls
Goku out.
VEGETA
Kakarot, you disappoint me. I thought
you would be stronger.
Vegeta punches Goku extremely hard in the gut. Goku falls to
his knee’s clutching his stomach.
GOKU
There are many forms of strength.
Goku stands and gathers more energy. His red Aura becomes
larger. Goku looks like he could explode.
Goku throws an enegy attack at Vegeta who dodges it. Goku
appears behind Vegeta and kicks him in the back. Vegeta goes
flying through the air before he steadies himself. He floats in
the air looking for Goku.
Suddenly Goku appears from no wear and punches Vegeta in
the face. Goku then tackles Vegeta ramming him down to the
ground. When they hit both stand slowly.
VEGETA
That is better Kakarot. Take out
your hate on me. I did come here
to kill everyone you hold dearest.
Something you should have done
yourself.

GOKU
Why do you want this? Why do you
Want to fight?
Vegeta laughs.
VEGETA
You should know Kakarot. The same
reason you want to fight. For the challenge
to get stronger, for revenge, for destiny. The
reason isn’t that important in any case only
the outcome.
Vegeta floats into the sky.
VEGETA
But if you want it to end now then it shall.
Vegeta puts his hands out in front of him and gathers energy.
A swirl of red power builds up between his hands.
Goku gathers more energy into his Kaioken. The red energy
starts swirling around him. The ground under him starts
crumbling and collapsing.
Goku puts his hand together and pulls them to his side.
VEGETA
DIE KAKAROT!
Vegeta releases his ball of energy, it heads down to Goku.
GOKU
KA-ME-HA-ME-HAAAAAAAAAA!

The energy around Goku changes to a mixture of blue and red
that swirls around his body with the blue kamehameha beam
being released out of his hands and heading towards Vegeta.
The beams meet halfway between them. When they collide an
explosion is released destroying much of the landscape.
We move to Vegeta at the top of the beams. He pushes down
and releases more energy into his beam.
We move out to see the red beam of Vegeta push down
overtaking the Kamehameha.
Move to Goku. He pushes more energy into the Kaioken
attack. There is a huge intake of air as everything starts
moving into Goku then everything goes silent and still. The
energy is suddenly released from all around Goku as the
Kamehameha engulfs him. All we see is the blue beam as it
appears to come out of the ground.
Move out to see the size of the blue beam is ten times larger
than the red one of Vegeta’s. It quickly swallows up the red
beam and moves in on Vegeta.
VEGETA
Nooo, this can’t be!
The Kamehameha hits Vegeta and swallows him up.
VEGETA
AAAAAAAAA!
We see a huge explosion and the sky is filled with light. After
several seconds the light vanishes and we see nothing in the
sky.
Move to where Goku was standing. He is laying on the ground
covered in blood. Roshi is walking to him.

ROSHI
Goku..
Goku looks at Roshi and smiles.
GOKU
Did I win?
ROSHI
Yea, you won, hold on and I will get you
Help.
Goku smiles.
GOKU
I don’t think I will get out of this one. Can
you do me a favour?
Roshi nods.
GOKU
Tell Chi Chi, that I’m sorry but we will
have to talk some other time.
ROSHI
No Goku, you can pull out of this, I know
you can.
Goku looks up at the full moon that is hanging in the sky.

GOKU
It sure is pretty. I never noticed before because
I never took much time out to do anything but
fight or train to fight, even now I feel sad
because I know I won’t be able to fight
anymore. Thank you.
Goku’s eye’s close.
Roshi puts his hands on Goku.
ROSHI
Goku, no. Goku.
Fade to black.
(79) INT – KAME HOUSE – NIGHT
Chi Chi is doing dishes when she suddenly grabs her chess. She
starts breathing heavily. Bulma comes to her.
BULMA
What’s wrong?
CHI CHI
I don’t know, I just feel sick. I think I
should sit down.
(80) EXT – GRASSLANDS – EARLY MOURNING
We see a batted body crawl along the ground, Vegeta. A space
pod is in front of him. He tries to climb inside but passes out.

(81) EXT – OUTER WORLD
Fade in from black. We are in a dark misty forest. Goku
emerges from the darkness. He looks around. Baba is standing
in front of him.
GOKU
Hmm, guess my journey has ended.
BABA
No Goku, your journey is far from over.
Baba vanishes and the area becomes brighter revealing a small
cottage. Goku walks to towards it.
Fade to black.
