Day 1: Fly to Washington, D.C.

Day 2: Our National Monuments

This morning, enjoy breakfast at the hotel before an expert

local guide joins us to share the city’s incredible history

during an educational driving tour. We view the Martin Luther

King Jr. Memorial, inspired by his famous I Have A Dream

speech; the Washington Monument, an iconic marble obelisk

that defines the city skyline; and the Franklin D. Roosevelt

Memorial, a testament to one of the country’s most beloved

presidents. Our afternoon tour features the Jefferson

Memorial, a symbol of liberty, and the Lincoln Memorial

which overlooks the National Mall reflecting pool, the site of

WWII Memorial

Pay tribute to the millions of brave individuals who served and over 400,000 who made the ultimate sacrifice dur-

ing one of the most significant conflicts in world history. Situated on the National Mall, this memorial features two

impressive arches representing the Atlantic and Pacific, 56 granite pillars soaring 17 feet high, and a central pool

with fountains.

Day 3: Memorial Visits

Today we have another fascinating day of touring. We

remember the brave heroes of our nation’s history

with visits to the Korean War Memorial, the World

War II Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

In addition to its granite memorial wall, the Vietnam

Veterans Memorial also includes The Three Soldiers

statue, a striking tribute to the diversity of America’s

forces in Vietnam, and the Vietnam Women’s Memorial.

Enjoy lunch followed by free time at Union Station with

Day 4: Mount Vernon

Enjoy a relaxing morning before we venture out of the

capital city to neighboring Virginia. Surrounded by

colonial charm, we dine at the historic Mount Vernon

Inn. Later, we tour the mansion house and have time to

explore the estate of George and Martha Washington.

After learning about the life and times of the Father

of our Country, we return to D.C. for an evening at

Day 5: The Smithsonian

Visit the world-renowned Smithsonian Institution, the

world’s largest museum and research complex, featuring

21 museums and galleries. We explore the Steven F.

Udvar-Hazy Center, which features hangars displaying

thousands of aviation and space artifacts. Learn about

human space flight, World War II aviation, vertical flight,

and more. The Natural History Museum showcases

exhibits ranging from the earliest humans to modern

mammals, and the American History Museum is devoted

to the cultural, social, and political development of

Today we visit Arlington National Cemetery to pay our

respects. View the Kennedy gravesites, witness the

with lifelong memories of our time in our nation’s

Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate & Gardens

Nestled along the serene banks of the Potomac River, this well-

preserved estate offers a chance to step back in time and

explore the life and legacy of one of our nation’s founding

fathers, George Washington. As we enter the sprawling 500-acre

estate, admire English boxwoods that Washington himself plant-

ed in 1786. The Palladian-style mansion, where George and

Martha Washington once resided, has bordering detached wings

that create a Court of Honor. See the furnished rooms inside,

then take a stroll through beautifully landscaped gardens that

have been restored to their 18th-century grandeur.
